FUEL FILTER > REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the cowl panel sub-assembly (Click here).



2. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and the battery clamp.



3. REMOVE BATTERY


4. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  1. Disconnect the 2 fuel hose clamps from the fuel filter.

  1. Disconnect the 2 fuel hoses.

  1. Loosen the fuel filter drain plug to drain fuel.

  1. Tighten the fuel filter drain plug.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and fuel filter.



5. REMOVE FUEL FILTER SUPPORT

  1. Disconnect the 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the bolt and fuel filter support.



6. REMOVE FUEL HEATER ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 screws and fuel heater assembly.



7. REMOVE LEVEL WARNING SWITCH

  1. Clamp the fuel filter cap of the fuel filter in a soft jaw vise.

  1. Using a water pump pliers, remove the level warning switch.

    NOTICE:
    Do not damage the level warning switch.



8. REMOVE FUEL FILTER DRAIN PLUG

  1. Remove the fuel filter drain plug.

  1. Remove the O-ring.



9. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ELEMENT ASSEMBLY

  1. Using SST, remove the fuel filter element assembly.
